Found Family...

*Auspex is again kneeling before the central mosaic, palms flat to the ground, in commune with Primus*

*All the strange things that have come... sparks created from incomplete slivers, more free-sparks, injured sparks that refuse to be comforted... friends that try her patience, assumptions that have been made... Why now, why all at once, like this? Auspex confesses that she is tired, that she can only invest herself emotionally in so many people, before she begins losing herself. Primus is all that she has, to sustain her in this... and she could use some of that, right about now...*

"Yes," he says softly, examining memories stirred by what they'd just done. "...I used to communicate with Oriana that way... before she became viable. And in the Allspark, of course...."

Wistfulness and just a touch of homesickness for a place he couldn't remember come from him as he sits up.

He nods, then smiles slightly at the comfort, radiating thanks and affection.

"No... if it's how they say it is... we'd go mad from missing that communion."

He looks sober at that thought, but then smiles again and blushes a bit at the praise, giving thanks for the gift of such an elder sister as this.

Then he gets to his feet and walks around the table to hug her, feeling a little regretful and just a tiny bit apprehensive. "Thank you, Auspex. I have to go. The other members of my unit want to throw me a going away party. But I'll come back as soon as I'm able."

Teletraan's emotions twitch wryly with amusement and a bit of embarrassment adding themselves to the mix. But all he says as he turns toward the door is, "Thank you. I will."

A last affectionate small smile, and he's off homeward.
