More News of Teletraan; Thrust Worries
*Auspex is attempting to study an obscure text. She is somewhat distracted, still reeling a bit about the recent events, the new friend she lost so soon, and what an enigma he was... as well as the experience of having her innate abilities boosted by a Cybertronian with Mini-Con power-augmenting energy, without the need of the specific port that no one in her universe possesses... and a new dent in the wall that needs repair, introduced by a very large helicopter Cybertronian from a very alien universe. It's... been strange lately, even for her.*

*Her voice is somewhat leaden* They are my lord's people, Thrust. They serve as messengers for the Allspark. They were bringing me news of... admittedly, one of the stranger sparks I've encountered in the Nexus, but one that has caused me much concern, of late... I needed to hear that news, and receive that reassurance.
*she hesitates, a troubled silence following*

"I was only concerned for your safety."

*Her optics dim* Concerned for my safety? Primus watches over me... how much safer could I be? I am not a warrior, Thrust, but neither am I a fool. I can sense lies, or any ill will directed at me, and I will avoid it, if necessary. But neither will I shun those who have the capacity to injure me. Why do you think I trust you? Certainly not because you are innocent, or honest, or even well-meaning toward me, at times.

He turns for a small moment, then profers a small container of red energon chips. Thrust always brings gifts.

Thrust... I am sorry; but I had to endure the pain of a free-spark closing himself off from the song of the Allspark, because his mate cried out to him, and he'd made a promise that he wouldn't leave him. You know what it's like, to be severed from your rest... do you think I could look you in the optic, if you'd made a conscious decision to suffer that, summoned that much willpower, and call you a coward and a liar? That you had no interest in the well-being of the one who needed you? He most probably was how you say, at one time; I do not doubt that. Even he recognizes that. But he has changed, as people do.
These are only different aspects of a certain individual, at different points in time, living different events... but you can honestly tell me that I am missing a cowering deceiver behind a facade of trickery, simply because your rival is as such, at this point in time? What do you think I am? I cannot generalize; I must see for myself, on a case by case basis. It may put me in danger, but that is why I exist. To shelter me from that, is to deny me my function.
I took the risk to speak to you, when I met you; you would have me refuse others that same courtesy?

To be completely honest, people like Starscream, or Galvatron, for that matter, tend to frighten me; Primus knows them, but they are so mercurial, I have trouble following them; they are easily insulted, and unpredictable in their wrath. I never approach that sort of person lightly. I have been pleasantly surprised by the one I know, and how much he has learned. That does not mean I would immediately trust anyone else with that name. But neither will I speak ill of someone I have not met, even if I am acquainted with an alternate.
That aside... if you come upon me talking with someone that I trust, that you find suspicious... comm me? I would rather you not chase away my guests with a show of bluster; it does not reflect well on your character, either, I'm sorry to say. *she pauses for a moment* You worry me when you do that.

What's left unsaid and what Thrust absolutely misses is that Thrust is not one of these.
"I hardly mean to worry you, merely to look out for you. Would you like a treat?"

*Her brow furrows, and she tries to read his intent* What do you mean, exactly?

Again he offers her the box.

Ah... I'd forgotten that your native people mine energon. *She tilts her head as she turns it over in her hands, with an air of childlike discovery* And you eat this? *she taps at it carefully with a forefinger*

*she smiles graciously, taking another small piece, before returning it to its box. One gets the impression it will last her half a vorn, at this rate, reluctant as she is to indulge herself* Thank you, Thrust, for your generosity.

"Besides letting yourself be influenced by Autobots, what have you been up to?"

*The wince grows more pronounced, rather on the pained side* Please, you speak rashly; you really have no idea why they were here. Faction has little to do with it.
