*Auspex wanders from her quarters into the main sanctuary, having just finished a recharge cycle. Indigo optics flicker, before lighting brighter; Primus seems to be indicating that she'll soon have another visitor.*

*She gathers up a datapad or two, and settles down to wait.*

*the priestess is attempting to study, but she feels restless, somehow. Primus seems to be telling her that she's waiting for someone, or something... but is no more specific than that, no matter how much she questions him.*

*She sighs a bit, setting her work aside for the moment; she's made little progress, anyway. She centers herself on Primus, attempting to reduce this feeling of distraction.*

*Auspex is again kneeling before the central mosaic, palms flat to the ground, in commune with Primus*

*All the strange things that have come... sparks created from incomplete slivers, more free-sparks, injured sparks that refuse to be comforted... friends that try her patience, assumptions that have been made... Why now, why all at once, like this? Auspex confesses that she is tired, that she can only invest herself emotionally in so many people, before she begins losing herself. Primus is all that she has, to sustain her in this... and she could use some of that, right about now...*

Amongst the jagged outcroppings of metal, there is a small, shimmering flicker, almost unnoticeable, unless you were looking for it. There are no optics to be enlightened here, however, as Auspex is suddenly stepping out of it, where nothing was before.

With a little sigh, thoughts still on those she spoke to in the Nexus this time, she makes her way back towards her temple, a short distance away. She walks with caution; she will remember that Choas-servant's 'visit' for a long time to come.

*Auspex is attempting to study an obscure text. She is somewhat distracted, still reeling a bit about the recent events, the new friend she lost so soon, and what an enigma he was... as well as the experience of having her innate abilities boosted by a Cybertronian with Mini-Con power-augmenting energy, without the need of the specific port that no one in her universe possesses... and a new dent in the wall that needs repair, introduced by a very large helicopter Cybertronian from a very alien universe. It's... been strange lately, even for her.*

Er... well. I was introduced to a human holiday tradition in a rather... unexpected manner. I'm... rather out of sorts. Jetstorm is quite a puzzle.

He has voiced some sort of interest, in the past, but he was half-mad in a chaotic relapse, and I thought that would be the last of it. But now... I'm unsure; I really have no idea how to react to this. It is not the first time someone has expressed an interest in me (in varying degrees of civility)... but it is the first incident in which the one in question is one of my own charges... at least, the first to have proceeded so boldly.

To be honest, I'm somewhat frightened... though I'm not sure if my fear is of him, or of what this may do to his mindset, or how this may affect mine. Primus seems content to remain silent, for now... there is nothing to do, but wait, and watch. And not worry.

((Yes, this incident is a year old. No, I do not want to figure out where this fits in Auspex's continuity (such as it is), not yet, anyway. If RP ever picks up again, it may actually go somewhere, heh.))

This... has been an utter disaster.

I came home to the lingering traces of Chaos, and much fear and anger. Blackstar had come, to leave me reassurance that at least one of Snowcat and Demolishor's sparklets do indeed understand what he did for them. Apparently, a servant of Unicron had come, to cause mischief in this sanctuary, and Blackstar was unfortunate enough to be here when he arrived.

I am more angry than I have been, in a long time... I think I surprised Blackstar and the others. But this is not something I will stand for. I am told, by a spirit from the Allspark, that Unicron is not pleased with his servant -- possibly he acted out of his timing, I do not know -- and so there is a chance this will not happen again, soon. Still, I will be watchful.

I write this quickly, only to make note... Starscream is still here, with his mate, and his alternate self (needless to say, the multiverse is indeed a strange place). All three of them have been dealt grief, through their efforts to restore Blackstar's strength. Blackstar himself has recovered, and has gone away to think on what we have spoken about. Echoshift appears to have left for the moment, though he may yet return.

I must put the sanctuary back in order; the servant of Unicron cast corruption on the mosaics here, and I must remove it, before they begin to decay. A childish prank, but no less deadly dangerous. I have yet to decide what to do with the copy of the Covenant that he left. Smelting it would be satisfying, at this point...

*Auspex sighs wearily, putting the datapad aside, with the drawings, and the crystal. She approaches one of the mosaics, requesting power from Primus, and gingerly touches it. She winces at the sting of Chaos on her fingers, but she methodically begins driving it away, to disperse into nothingness.*

Auspex is, as usual, contemplating Primus: specifically, researching an older religious text. She pokes absently at the datapad, somewhat distracted at the moment. She offers a quick prayer, a bit of a mental shrug and apology for not having her mind on her work. The answering whisper from Primus is conciliatory, as she stands and stretches stiff joints. Perhaps there is a reason for her to stop for the moment..?

((description of the temple here))

Auspex has returned to the sanctuary, followed by another version of Ratchet that she has met in the Nexus, who wished to speak with her in a place not quite as... in the middle of everything... as the Nexus is, especially with the Chaos Bringer loitering nearby.

*She stands to the side to let him wander where he will* Whatever you feel led to do here, feel free; if you'd like me to leave you alone for a little while, I will, or I will talk with you, if you'd like to tell me about your troubles. There is no hurry, and there is no judgement of your thoughts or your actions.

*She stands by, patient and unobtrusive*

((Blah, this is far ahead in the timeline, since I wasn't going to have her write anything until she's back from Autobot city. Though I guess this is taking place during that, considering the ghosts from the Allspark wandering... heck, I dunno. Will all be rearranged again eventually. :p ))

((Thrust and Auspex got into a bit of a disagreement in this thread, referenced here.))

Auspex has had a few troubling encounters in the Nexus lately... she finds herself preoccupied, worried, praying for her charges more than ever. She is doing so now, in her preferred spot for prayer, arms resting on her knees, palms to the floor, as though she hopes to absorb some reassurance from Primus through the ground.

Pain, fear, chastisement, frustration, exasperation... Primus, soothe them away...

((Pre-story: Cyclonus visits. Auspex helps Scourge to sever his bond with Void. Parts of this are rated C for Creepy. Spark violation is really not a fun subject. :\ ))

Chat log pre-story... )

Auspex has returned to her seat in the main sanctuary, reviewing her most recent notes, and replenishing lost energy via the consumption of an energon cube. Scourge has been unconscious for a good while, but she's let him rest; after the pain of cutting a bond and the resulting spark-tear, he needs it. She could use some rest, herself, but Primus has told her to remain alert, and so she is, more or less.

*Auspex is wandering in the wildernesses around her sanctuary. There are times she simply needs to see the sky and stars, and seek Primus in the landscape of her homeworld. She drifts over the plains, utilizing her seldom-used hover vehicle mode. She finds a peculiar outcropping of metal, transforms, and climbs up a little higher, to perch on it, and survey the scenery.*

*She has a suspicion Primus has a purpose for her being here... but doesn't he always? She murmurs a prayer as she watches the serene landscape.*

Finally, I have been told of the defeat of Void.  He has apparently been changed into a short, large-opticked facsimile of his former self, known as a chibi.  A rather strange method of defeat, but it works.  I only hope he stays that way.

I had the opportunity to work with Void's second-in-command, Jetstorm.  He's... had an apparently rough existence: his name was once Silverbolt, and he was the leader of an Autobot gestalt team.  Said team has been... condensed... into a single individual: Jetstorm wears four heads on his wings -- the heads of his still-living brothers.  Jetstorm himself was turned inward, nearly catatonic, and  filled with Chaos energy: I could not approach him without feeling the pain of it reacting with Primus's Order within me.  With the help of Rodimus Prime and the Matrix, I channeled Primus's energy to Jeststorm, banishing Unicron's darkness from his spark.  He's finally come back to outward reality again, and seemed overwhelmed to see his brothers cleansed of Chaos; so much so that I was effectively shut out.  I await a chance to actually talk to Jetstorm himself.

*Auspex is in the main hall of the sanctuary, putting another entry into her journal. She is alert for visitors, as always*

I had thought that my last encounter with Unicron was unpleasant.  I'd said it could have been much worse.  I have now discovered how much worse it could have been.  This was something I will not soon forget.

To have Chaos incarnate, feeling his way into one's mind with thought tendrils like fingers, tainting what he's touched... *she shivers again, for what seems like the hundredth time* It was far too close, and too painful. No one has ever done such a thing to me, aside from Primus himself, and his presence is welcome. This was pure invasion. Thank you, great lord Primus, my refuge, for keeping me safe!  Otherwise... I doubt I would have lived through that.  Thank you also for bringing me solace.

Auspex is seated in her personal living space, adding an entry in her datapad.  There is a new addition to the various oddities collected on her table (datapads with old religious texts, the occasional artifact or three, a small, unfinished mosaic with the appropriate metal tiles collected in a nearby container, random tech, tools, and other less-identifiable things here and there, all of it managing to remain semi-orderly): it is a very small plaque, of Earthen wood, an equally Earthen dove carved into the surface: a gift from Cureall.  She'd decided the symbolism of the plaque would be considerably more confusing to those with no Earth experience, if displayed in the sanctuary, than the statue Thrust had given the temple earlier, so she'd put it in her personal space, where she could see it.

Usually, she would be in the hall proper, to welcome visitors, but this entry is not something she wants just anybody to see: it could be potentially alarming to certain parties:

Of all the creatures and entities I never wanted to see in the Nexus -- didn't even imagine I could see in the Nexus -- this was the worst-case scenario.  I saw, and spoke to, the Chaos Bringer himself.

It actually could have been much worse than it was.  Of course, Primus was with me, and I did not allow myself to speak in my own power; that would have been disastrous. But first, I was verbally abused by an apparent Chaos-god from another universe.  That was quite... odd.  I wasn't quite sure how to answer her; I know the truths of my native place, but this creature seemed unable to accept the nature of the multiverse.  But her insistence caught the attention of Unicron...
